The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry

Went to the local cinema this morning as I quite fancied seeing this. After watching the trailer and discovering that it starred Jim Broadbent it went straight onto the bucket list. He’s an actor who just seems to improve with age, and was cast perfectly for the role. I also have a lot of respect for Penelope Wilton, who was cast as his wife, and delivered a stellar performance. Suffice to say that the movie did not disappoint one bit. It was thoroughly enjoyable, touching and poignant. I had to suppress a tear more than once. I was surprised to note that the cinema had never been so full for a midweek matinee performance. The last few times we’ve virtually had the cinema to ourselves.
