Cafe range in matte black with stainless hood?

Our old range is slowly giving up the ghost, so we're looking to replace it. Leaning toward the Cafe gas double-oven (or perhaps moving to dual-fuel). All our appliances are stainless, along with the hood. Would it be super weird to do a matte black or matte white range with everything else stainless? Our cabinets are white, and the backsplash tile has a lot of black, and both the white & black ranges have (or can have) silver knobs, etc., so perhaps it could work? The advantage of the black range is the enameled stovetop. I fear a stainless top will send my husband over the edge trying to keep it clean.
