How to make character mods for Puyo Pop Fever PC

OK, so you will need:
         
          - Puyo Pop Fever (download here: https://puyonexus.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=844)
          - ExtractPVZ (included in Puyo Pop Fever download)
          - Some image editor (i use GIMP )

 1- Get the character file:

    To have the character file, you need to go in "BIN" folder and get a file with "cf" in the name.
    To be easy, i gotta put the character numbers:

00 - Amitie
01 - Oshare Bones
02 - Klug
03 - Donguiraeru
04 - Rider
05 - Onion Pixy
06 - Prince of Ocean
07 - Raffine
08 - Yu
09 - TaruTaru
10 - HowHow Bird
11 - Accord
12 - Franksteins
13 - Arle
14 - Popoi
15 - Carbuncle

(Same with "sel_e_**" and "task_c**")

2- Extract it:

   With the character file, move it to the folder you put ExtractPVZ.
   The program will work with the 3 .dll files as showed in the image below.



but where i can get these files?
searching in the game!



Opening the ExtractPVZ, type the file name and his format (.pvz). Then click in [pvz -> png].

3- Making the character:

 With the pvz extracted, you will get a png file.
 That png file is the character sprite, but in the case, Amitie sprite.

ok, but how i will do my character?

 If you have a image editor you can start the making of the character.
 


 I will use for example a Amitie image to replace the original sheet.



With the original sheet changed, we're going to do the last step:

4- Converting to the game:


 
 Backing to ExtractPVZ, type the character image name, then click on [png -> pvz].
 After all, put the character file back into the "BIN" folder.


 
 Now test your mod and see if is good.

I'm having trouble with the install of PPF itself. I can run 2/? of the launchers, but when ever I say 'run offline', it crashes. Reading the post from the Nexus, I need a copy of PPF already downloaded. Where can I find that? I know it's against the rules to directly post the link, so how about... you post it in parentheses so it doesn't register... That may or may not be the problem, I don't know. Any help is welcome!

well, there's another version that works and don't crash when you  want to play offline.

(but that's a problem with this version: when you do 1 chain the character don't say nothing. This isn't a problem for you?)

Make sure that you're file isn't corrupted or passed through any errors while you were installing the game.
The problem can also be in your computer, but i'm not sure of what can be done to fix that.

If you still need, i can give you the extracted png of that file, if that would help you.
