Puyo Puyo Introduction

For all newbies, welcome to the game and series called Puyo Puyo! This is basically a Tetris physics game. There are 5 colours of Puyos, Red, Blue, Green, Yellow and Purple. All you have to do is connect 4 of the same colour to clear the Puyos, however, if you are playing in VS mode (like 2 player battles), you can send Nuisance Puyos (Grey Puyos) to the opponent. If you clear Puyos in chains, you can send even more nuisance puyos to the opponent (be careful, opponents can do them too). If the spawn spot is blocked, it's Game Over (opponents can get Game Overs too Razz

). So now that you know the basics of Puyos, go play an Easy Mode to get started. Have fun! Very Happy

Adding on to this, starting from Puyo Puyo Tsu onwards only four colors are usually in play at any given time. Tsu also introduced offsetting, where if you make a chain while nuisance puyos are waiting to drop in your field you can reduce the amount sent or even counter by sending them to your opponent if your chain is strong enough.

Fever mode was introduced in the international DS game (plus with other platforms like GBA and Gamecube etc) called 'Puyo Pop Fever'. However, this lived on to other Puyo games.

There is also Sun, Yon, and Transformation but that arnt as competitive
